Arson suspect arrested in Old Trails Fire

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives and Washington State Department of Natural Resources Fire Investigators arrested 37-year-old Aaron F. Farinacci for first-degree arson related to the Old Trails Fire. The fire, reported August 1 at 12:00 pm near N. Old Trails Road and W. Euclid Road, was one of several fires devastating Spokane County.

Farinacci, a convicted felon, was arrested without incident at his residence in the 2800 block of W. Elliott Drive after investigators obtained an arrest warrant. Spokane County Warrant Service Group assisted in the arrest. The investigation remains active, with additional inquiries into the Autumn Lane and Fairview Fires.
