The Central Valley School District (CVSD) announced a slight adjustment to the attendance boundaries for Opportunity Elementary School, effective with the 2026-2027 school year. The announcement was published March 25, 2026.
The boundary change is one of several updates the district is rolling out ahead of the upcoming school year. CVSD also adopted the 2026-2027 district calendar, which was published February 2, 2026, giving families time to plan ahead.
Also announced March 25, the district is hosting a principal hiring forum at Central Valley Virtual Learning (CVVL), inviting community members to ask questions and provide feedback on candidates for the position.
Additionally, CVSD is forming a Portrait Committee to help define shared goals for student outcomes. Families and community members were invited to join the effort, which was announced March 19, 2026. Kindergarten enrollment for the 2026-2027 year opened March 2, with pre-registration available beforehand at cvsd.org/kindergartenenrollment.
