Spokane County property owners have until April 30 to pay the first half of their 2026 property taxes, and County Treasurer Mike Volz is making it easier for Spokane Valley residents by staffing a payment location at Spokane Valley City Hall, 10210 E. Sprague Ave., on Friday, April 17, and Friday, April 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A second satellite location will be open at the North Spokane Library, 44 E. Hawthorne Rd., on Tuesday, April 21, and Tuesday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Only check or credit and debit card payments are accepted at both locations, and card users should expect applicable processing fees.
"Not everyone finds it convenient to visit the county courthouse, so we like to provide opportunities in other parts of the county so folks don't have to drive as far to get their taxes paid," Volz said.
Residents who prefer not to pay in person can pay online, by phone at (509) 477-4713, or by mail. Drop boxes at the Spokane County Courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave., accept checks only and require a payment stub and parcel number. The courthouse office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Spokane County splits property tax obligations into two installments. The first half is due April 30, and the second half is due October 31. The treasurer's office mailed annual tax statements on March 6. More information is available at www.spokanecounty.gov/treasurer.
