I-5 shoulder closure begins July 29

WSDOT began closing the right shoulder on I-5 northbound from milepost 9.3 near 179th Street to milepost 11.3 near North Bound Gee Creek Rest Area at 7:31 a.m. on July 29, 2026.

Multiple other road projects are ongoing in Spokane Valley. Southbound I-405 will have up to two lanes closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. through July 31.
