Spokane Complex Fire: Free Birth Certificate Replacements Available

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) and Washington State Department of Health (DOH) are providing free birth certificate replacements for Washington state residents affected by the Spokane Complex Fire at the Spokane Complex Fire Disaster Assistance Center.

The service is available Aug. 11-12 at Shadle Park High School. Aja Richardson, SRHD Vital Records program manager, stated, "We understand the burden our neighbors face when they lose important documents." Other documents like driver's licenses and passports require contacting different agencies.

Residents are urged to use only VitalChek for online orders to avoid extra fees. SRHD's vital records web page offers additional information on replacement procedures.
