Spokane County Updates Tax Transparency Tools

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Spokane County Assessor's Office has updated its Tax Transparency Tool to include 2027 tax estimates based on current property assessments, according to an alert dated May 28, 2026. The tool helps taxpayers understand where their tax dollars go and provides estimates for future tax years.

Senate Bill 6162 will increase savings for Senior and Disabled Persons Exemption starting in 2027, with new income thresholds. The Assessor's Office provided estimates based on a $300,000 assessed property value within the City of Spokane.

The Spokane County Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on May 28, 2026, with virtual participation options at the Public Works Building in Spokane. Additionally, Comp Plan '46 outreach events will share Environmental Impact Statement alternatives for growth on specific dates in September and October 2025.
