Spokane Valley Sheriff's deputies arrested a wanted felon after a reported suspicious vehicle stop led to the discovery of two pistols, nearly two ounces of methamphetamine, fentanyl powder, mushrooms, and more than $9,700 in cash, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.
The arrest stemmed from a report of a suspicious vehicle in Spokane Valley. Deputies located the vehicle and identified the occupant as a wanted felon. A search of the vehicle uncovered the firearms and controlled substances in addition to the large amount of cash.
The Sheriff's Office also reported several other recent incidents in Spokane Valley, including a fatal shooting where the shooter remained at the scene and was detained by deputies, with Major Crimes Detectives leading the investigation. Authorities stated there was no ongoing threat to the public from that incident.
Additionally, Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives are seeking the public's help identifying a knife-wielding robbery suspect connected to an armed robbery at a Chevron station located at N.
