Spokane Valley Fugitive Arrested After Year on Run

Robert Depasquale (48) was arrested in Alabama by the U. S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force after spending more than a year as a fugitive from Spokane County, Washington.

Depasquale faced active felony warrants for second-degree assault and third-degree rape with a domestic violence nexus. He fled Washington state following a May 2025 court appearance in Spokane Superior Court.

The arrest occurred Wednesday in Lafayette, Alabama, where Depasquale is currently held at Chambers County Jail awaiting extradition to Washington. U. S. Marshal Craig Thayer praised the collaborative effort of multiple law enforcement agencies involved in the year-long manhunt.
