The Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) Board of Health selected a new administrative officer to lead the agency, according to a March 5, 2026 announcement from the district.
The announcement came just one day after Spokane County Commissioners appointed new members to the Board of Health on March 4, 2026, signaling a period of leadership transition at the regional health agency.
The SRHD had previously posted a call for new Board of Health members in December 2025, suggesting the organization had been working through several governance changes in recent months.
In addition to the leadership changes, the SRHD has been active on several public health fronts in early 2026, including responding to measles exposure alerts in Spokane County in both March 19 and March 26, expanding opioid treatment services with longer hours in February, and launching a safe sleep campaign for infants in April.
